Dorin Shapira

BioMEMS researcher. PhD Candidate @ Technion.

profile.jpeg

Hi! My name is Dorin Shapira, and I am a PhD candidate at the Technion in Prof. Leeya Engel’s Lab, just beginning my journey in the field of BioMEMS.

I have a background in dynamics and vibrations from my M.Sc., along with some experience in algorithm development. I love to study — as you can probably tell from my long academic journey — but most of all, I enjoy implementing theory in real-life applications and discovering how, 90% of the time, it fails (in the best way!).

In my free time, I love hiking, photography, and playing ultimate frisbee. I’m always open to meeting and chatting with new, interesting people. :)
